From the iPhone or Android app
Open Detective → Settings → Delete account. Read the consequences and confirm permanent deletion. You do not need to call or email support. The same option is available for guest accounts.
Without installing the app
Use the deletion panel on this page. Sign in on this website using the account you want to delete, then return here. An unsaved guest account must be deleted from the device or browser that still holds its session. If you cannot access a saved account, reset its password or contact [email protected] for identity verification.
What is deleted
We permanently delete your authentication account, email held with that account, nickname, XP, ranking entry, game memberships, your chat messages, activity events, command history, blocks, terms acceptance and safety reports associated with your account from the live game database. There is no reactivation period. The success screen appears only after the server confirms deletion.
What happens to your partner
Your unfinished shared investigations close and invitations stop working. Shared answer proposals are removed because they can contain personal text. Your partner keeps their own account, XP, read progress and messages. Completed story results remain available to your partner.
Other copies and sign-in providers
Deletion does not recall messages or screenshots already saved by another person, erase emails in your mailbox or delete your Google or Apple account. Infrastructure logs and any disaster-recovery backups are separate from the live game database and follow the provider’s retention settings. Contact us for the applicable retention period or a request covering those records. Restoring a backup requires reapplying account deletions before returning it to service.
Sign in with Apple
After deletion, if you used Apple sign-in, also remove HalfEvidence in your Apple Account settings → Sign in with Apple → Stop Using Sign in with Apple. This extra step removes the Apple authorization; your HalfEvidence account is deleted regardless.
