First case beta
Your case, kept private.
HalfEvidence stores your guest account identifier, case membership, investigation progress, shared decisions, hints and messages so you and your partner can return to the same game. If you add an email, it is used for account verification, sign-in and password recovery.
Only the members of your room can access its conversation and assigned evidence. Do not put sensitive personal information in the game chat. We use essential session cookies to keep you signed in.
The public player count shows an aggregate of recently active sessions. It does not reveal your name, messages or room link. A shared result contains a spoiler-free message and a link to start a new game.
We also store story rewards and your chosen detective nickname. Once you have a confirmed email and choose a nickname, the world ranking publicly shows that nickname, your level, XP and number of rewarded stories. Your email, sign-in identifiers and private cases are not published. A name from Google or Facebook is never automatically used as your detective nickname. Social sign-in, when enabled, is handled by that provider and Supabase.
During this beta, progress is stored using Supabase. No advertising or session replay is active in this release. Share the game with a trusted partner, and keep your invitation private.
Guest access depends on the browser session. Clearing its data can remove access unless you have linked a verified account. Account deletion and the final retention policy must be completed before a public commercial release; this build is for the controlled beta.
