The case, without spoilers
She checked in. Someone checked her out of the story.
Costa Brava, September 2026. Photographer Clara Soler checks into Casa Bruma for a short coastal assignment. Later that evening, the reception record says she has already left. Her sister heard her voice. A driver remembers her arrival. The guesthouse has a perfectly ordinary explanation — and the wrong woman’s booking.
One detective follows Clara’s conversations, photographs and the people who actually saw her. The other examines booking histories, handovers and service records. Compare a message with its sender, a familiar set of initials with a person, and an apparent departure with the passenger who really travelled.
