The rules for investigating together in HalfEvidence.
The service
HalfEvidence, operated by Mateusz Data ([email protected]), is a cooperative fictional detective game. Two players receive different clues and solve cases together. Internet access is required. Invite someone you trust; there is no automatic pairing with strangers. Stories contain fictional crime and may include disturbing themes.
Respect your partner
Do not post threats, harassment, hate speech, sexual exploitation, illegal material, spam or another person’s private information. Do not impersonate others, use abusive nicknames or attempt to expose private clues, compromise accounts or bypass game restrictions. These rules apply to messages and public nicknames. Accept them before posting user content.
Safety and moderation
Report a message or player from the conversation, or a nickname from the ranking. Blocking stops messages between the two accounts and prevents joining another room together; it does not award XP or delete either account. The person who blocked can unblock. We can hide content, remove nicknames or restrict posting and joining for violations. Contact [email protected] to appeal a moderation decision. Reports are not emergency calls; contact local emergency services if someone is in immediate danger.
Accounts and progress
Keep credentials and invitation codes private. Guest access can be lost if its session is removed before saving an account. Deleting an account is permanent and closes unfinished shared investigations. Your partner keeps their own account and earned XP. Current published cases are free; any future paid offer will state its price and conditions before purchase.
Rights and complaints
Game stories and artwork are provided for personal play, not redistribution. You retain rights to content you write and allow us to process and display it to provide the game and handle safety reports. Send complaints to [email protected] with enough information to investigate, without passwords. These terms do not limit mandatory consumer or privacy rights. The Apple standard EULA also applies to the iOS app where applicable. Changes will be dated; materially changed community rules require renewed acceptance before posting.
